The home-going of a loving father!

Dear Daddy, Thank you for being the godly father you have been. You loved God and were very dedicated in His service, and you taught us to do the same. This family, I believe, is blessed because of your unwavering faith and hope in God. You were self-less, focused, determined, hardworking, honest, and patient. You were such a responsible father! You ensured that we obtain a sound education in order to have a good life in future. You decided to sacrifice to do this even with the responsibility of taking care of other family members. Thank you. Daddy, I particularly remember how you took me up to St. Augustine’s High School, Banso, in your nice 504 Peugeot despite the bad roads just to ensure that I was comfortable and safe. Thank you. I also remember how you brought Ngwa and I down to the University of Buea from Yaoundé, and loaded that same 504 with all our household items (including a bed!), and how you helped us find a room, took us round the departments and offices and helped us enroll in and sign up for classes. How many parents do this? Thank you, Dad. In short, you sacrificed your time, energy, resources…you gave your all, you did your utmost without reservation to help us become who we are today in all aspects of life. You’ve always been very strong, and you have taught me to be so. Daddy, I love you and always will. You were and still are my role-model, a source of inspiration forever! Thank you for all your prayers for us and for all the advice. Thank you for always being there to encourage and correct us. How I wish we had more time together here on earth! I know you wished that too but God allowed it to be this way. To Him be all glory and praise! I strongly believe you are in a better place, in the city where the streets are made of gold. I will miss you, Daddy, I will miss you very much! I shall see you in heaven. Goodbye Daddy. Your daughter, Lum Afuhnwi
