My dearest Dad, I am deeply saddened by your passing for I have lost an amazing Dad, my earthly role model. Now, I have no one on earth to call Dad. I remain forever thankful, first to God, for giving me such an amazing Dad and to you, for being the best Dad on the planet. I will remember you forever. I will remember how you and Mum sacrificed all of your lives to teach and give us the best of everything. I will remember your constant love and concern for us all. I will remember your gentle, quiet and loving smile. I will remember a sober Dad who drank malta, no beer and who did not smoke. I will remember how your face lit up when one of your many children would stop by for a visit. I will remember never been scolded or beaten by you. I will remember your generous heart. I will remember how you eat ate every meal placed in front of you with no complains, even the ones prepared by your “apprentice” daughters learning to cook. I will remember your positive, non-critical spirit. I will remember how you always had praise on your lips. I will remember how you never raised your voice in any situation. I will remember the pet names: “mama”, “my sister” I will remember the bakery: the yaourt, the berger, the meat pies, the croissants, the chocolate etc. And most of all, I will remember a praying Dad who took us to church every Sunday. I will remember the prayer you led in honor of St Joseph as we passed by the grotto on our way to “Olazoua” and to “Christ Roi” I remain for ever thankful to you for instilling in me the values which I have today.
